What this is
S.O.S. CEO (Smart or Stupid CEO) is a browser-based business strategy simulation offered as a closed Early Access beta at smartorstupidceo.com. These pages describe how this product handles information today, not a larger company group or services that do not exist yet.
What we collect
When you create an account, we store the email address you provide and a password hash. We also store gameplay and career data tied to that account: companies, career progress, decisions, entitlements such as Early Access, and related simulation state. If you send feedback or a problem report from the product, we store that message together with the account and, when available, the career, company week, and page you sent it from, so the beta can be improved and problems investigated. We do not ask for payment details because this beta has no payments.
Passwords
Passwords are stored only as one-way secure hashes. We cannot read your password, and we never store it as readable text.
Session cookie
The site uses one strictly necessary cookie named ceo_sid. It keeps you signed in, remembers language, and protects forms. It is not used for advertising. There is no cookie banner because there are no analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies.
Technical logs
The server may write error and security logs (for example failed requests or application errors) so the operator can keep the beta running. Those logs stay on the server. They are not shown in the public site and there is no in-product log browser.
Why we use this information
We use this information to operate the game: create and authenticate accounts, attach careers to the right player, grant Early Access during this closed beta, prevent abuse, and fix problems. We do not sell personal data. We do not run advertising profiling. We do not use a third-party analytics product on these pages.
Early Access / closed beta
This is a closed beta. During Early Access, new accounts may receive game access automatically. That is a product entitlement, not permission to send marketing email. This beta does not send live email.
Fonts
The site serves its required fonts from this application. The browser does not contact Google Fonts or other third-party font hosts to display these pages.
How long we keep data
Account and career data are kept while they are needed to run this beta. There is no automatic account-deletion button. If the beta requires a technical correction or reset, some progress may need to be changed or removed. When you ask us to delete an account, we handle that request manually.
Your requests
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the account information we hold by contacting us. We do not provide an automated privacy portal, data-export download, or self-serve deletion screen in this beta. We will not pretend those tools exist.

Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the beta changes. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use of the service after an update means the current version applies.
